Get to
Know Grace

Grace comes to sound therapy from an unusual starting point: science.

Before working with a single singing bowl, Grace spent years studying how the body and mind actually function. She holds a first-class honours Master’s in Psychology from The Chinese University of Hong Kong and is a member of the Hong Kong Psychological Society. Her studies in musculoskeletal anatomy (University of Michigan) and human physiology (Duke University) deeply inform her work. As a Polestar-certified Pilates instructor and ACE-certified health coach, she has dedicated her career to helping people understand and support their own nervous systems.

This strong foundation is exactly what makes her approach to sound therapy different. As a Scientific Singing Bowl Healing Practitioner, Certified Himalayan Singing Bowl Therapist, and Nepal Sound Healing & Therapy practitioner, Grace trained at the source of the tradition. She also holds a qualification in Mindfulness-based Social Emotional Learning. While much of the field relies on tradition and belief alone, Grace grounds her sessions in evidence — what research actually shows about how acoustic frequencies affect stress physiology, sleep, mood, and the nervous system. She won’t ask you to believe anything. She simply creates the conditions for your body to do what it already knows how to do: rest.

A taster session with Grace is a gentle first step. No experience or prior knowledge is needed. You only need to arrive, lie down, and let the rest unfold.

Sound therapy works because of physics, not magic.

When a Himalayan singing bowl is struck, it radiates a rich harmonic series — complex, layered frequencies that the nervous system responds to in measurable ways. Research in psychoacoustics and stress physiology documents these effects: reduced cortisol, slower brainwave activity, a measurable shift toward the parasympathetic state associated with rest and recovery.

At Healing Planet Sound Academy, our practice and teaching are built on this research. We cite our sources. We do not make claims we cannot support. We do not ask you to believe in anything except the physics of vibrating metal.

This is sound therapy for people who value both rigour and rest.
